Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce Files Legal Charges Following Falsified Registration Incident
Zurich, Switzerland---Sept. 20. 2024
On or around August 20, 2024, Roger Leitner and Mark Dangel registered themselves, along with Nathan Kaiser, Andreas Weckherlin, Nilayini Vamatheva, Marco Ruocco, and Ariste Chiabotti, as signatories of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC). This registration was accomplished mainly by using a deceitfully falsified extract of minutes of an Annual General Assembly.
“We are deeply disappointed by the breach of trust caused by these individuals, most of whom have joined the Chamber only very recently," said Dr. Urs Lustenberger, Chairman of the SACC Board. "Our commitment to transparency and accountability in business is unwavering, and we will ensure that those responsible for this deceitful registration are held accountable in accordance with the law."
Due to prior actions of the named individuals aimed at undermining the Chamber through various means, the Board of Directors of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) resolved, during its meeting on June 10, 2024, to expel them from the Chamber. This decision was formally announced to the public in a press release dated July 25, 2024. Despite their expulsion, which voided their capacity to act for the Chamber, their conduct has regrettably continued, culminating in deceiving the registrar with a falsified document.
The SACC has initiated formal legal steps and is cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure that justice is served. The Chamber remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism across all its dealings. Until proven guilty and finally convicted, all named individuals are to be presumed innocent.
The Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce remains steadfast in its mission to promote strong and ethical commercial ties between Switzerland and Asian markets, and this incident only strengthens its resolve to protect the integrity of its members and partners.
